Software Installation ByJordan V.

There are a number of software installations that you need to
perform on your computer. In fact, seventy to eighty percent of
the issues that you will experience with your computer are
software related, that is why it is important for you to watch
out for software or programs that can cause havoc to your
system. Sometimes you might find that your newly installed
software is not working properly. There are a couple of things
to check when this happens. There are different ways to easily
uninstall the program too if you decide that you do not want it
anymore. Learn about the signs that the software you are using
is not working or corrupted.

Your computer system is a marriage of hardware and software. The
hardware itself communicates to the software using the driver.
One software incompatibility or software corruption can cause
problems for your computer. There are tell tale signs that the
software or one of the programs are not working properly or are
corrupted.

1) Error messages when you are using the program or just
starting it.

For software or a program to work, it should be 100% complete or
else it will give you different kinds of error message every
time you start or while you are using it. If this happens, check
if there is a repair option. Repair options normally come when
you insert the installer CD. Speaking of CD, there are times
when uninstalling a program from add and remove programs doesn't
work. There are two other ways to do it. One is using the
installer CD, second is by going to Start > All Programs > name
of the program will have an option for uninstall.

2) Double clicking on the executable icon doesn't do anything.

This is a sign that the program is not working or corrupted. The
easiest step to further isolate is restarting your computer.
There are instances where when you double clicked on your
executable icon to many times cause the program not to respond,
this happens to me on outlook. All you have to do is check if
the program is running on the task manager and stops it from
there.

It is important to check compatibility when installing a new
program on your computer. Most of the programs, like games and
office software, will come with a minimum specification and will
specify what operating system it will utilize in order to
function properly. Programs installed in your computer take up
hard drive space, as a gentle reminder, remove all programs that
are not needed and are not being used. If you are planning on
getting a new computer you should know the basics of computer
setup.
